Extractions: White Sox Interactive Forums Baseball Discussions Sox Clubhouse PDA View Full Version : Rauch is dealing 06-15-2004, 11:50 PM Rauch had his second strong start after returning to AAA tonight going 8 innings giving up just one run on 5 hits in 8 innings with 6 k's against no walks, lowering his league leading ERA to 2.30. Personally I think the fifth starter talk has become overblown as well as Munoz, Rauch, and even Diaz are throwing. Yeah it'd be great to have another top of the rotation starter but give any of these three guys an extended trial and I think they'd probably be at least average for a fifth starter. OurBitchinMinny 06-15-2004, 11:53 PM I see your point, but you can never have too many good starters. Id love if one of those guys would step in, but the fact in schoenweis is starting to get hit and loaiza is giving up too many runs and you never know what you are gonna get from garland and even buerhle is not always lights out. A guy like sheets or garcia would be great, as long as you dont have to give up too much OEO Magglio 06-16-2004, 12:04 AM
Pete Rose [Archive] - NYYFans.com Forum Mr. Mxylsplk. 1024-02, 0324 PM. Yes, he absolutely should. He violated the rules of baseball, and in my opinion he deserves to be banned for life. http://forums.nyyfans.com/archive/index.php/t-35742.html
Extractions: But I also think he should apologise for doing what he did. Mr. Mxylsplk 10-24-02, 02:24 PM Yes, he absolutely should. He violated the rules of baseball, and in my opinion he deserves to be banned for life. I disagree with the voters online during the baseball game that if he apologizes for what he did, the ban should be removed. The rules are the rules, he broke them, he pays the consequences. But I honestly don't see what his violation of the rules or the ban have to do with the HOF. If he cheated as a player and his accomplishments aren't real, then that would tarnish his performance on the field, but that's not what happened. His accomplishments are as real as any other player's, and those accomplishments obviously warrant being in the hall of fame. It degrades the Hall in my opinion to keep him or Shoeless Joe out when they're as or more worthy than most of the players who are in there. Soriambi 10-24-02, 02:33 PM
