This publication of a Welsh Language Scheme incorporates many of the current working practices of the BBC and formalises language policies, as required by the Welsh Language Board. This document is a revision of the BBC Welsh Language Scheme originally published in 1998. The BBC recognises the principle of equality between English and Welsh. The event, which was attended by Wayne David, MP for Caerphilly, proved that you are never too old to learn a new skill and never too young to teach one. Ann Beynon, BT Director Wales and Chair of Business in the Community Wales added: "It's wonderful to see the generations united through technology, it's a real confidence boost for young people as they assume the role of teacher and mentor, and to the older generation the internet can open up a whole new world where hobbies and interests can be explored. They can keep in touch with friends and family and, of course, prove that it's never too late to learn a new skill." Participating pupils will also receive information on internet safety, a certificate and the opportunity to win an iPod Nano, provided by BT.
