Leonardo da Vinci (1452 -1519)
Da Vinci was one of the great creative minds of the Italian Renaissance, hugely influential as an artist and sculptor but also immensely talented as an engineer, scientist and inventor. Leonardo da Vinci was born on 15 April 1452 near the Tuscan town of Vinci, the illegitimate son of a local lawyer. He was apprenticed to the sculptor and painter Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence and in 1478 became an independent master. In about 1483, he moved to Milan to work for the ruling Sforza family as an engineer, sculptor, painter and architect. From 1495 to 1497 he produced a mural of 'The Last Supper' in the refectory of the Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan. Da Vinci was in Milan until the city was invaded by the French in 1499 and the Sforza family forced to flee. He may have visited Venice before returning to Florence. During his time in Florence, he painted several portraits, but the only one that survives is the famous 'Mona Lisa' (1503-1506).

Ur. 15 kwietnia 1452 w Toskanii . W wieku 20 lat Leonardo stworzy³ swoje pierwsze obrazy: Chrzest Chrystusa (1473-1475) namalowa³ go razem ze swoim nauczycielem, Verrocchio, Zwiastowanie, Pok³on Trzech Króli, ¦w. Hieronim (dwa ostatnie nie ukoñczone). Potem uzyska³ status niezale¿nego artysty-malarza.

Zamieszka³ w posiad³o¶ci Clos Lucé, w pobli¿u królewskiej rezydencji w zamku Amboise, a król obdarzy³ go sowitym wynagrodzeniem. Zmar³ w roku 1519 i zosta³ pochowany w Kaplicy ¶w. What do you care so much? this thread is suppose to be about Catholic Church and the bible...nothing to do with my beliefs.
I am not going to go through all your posts becuase I really don't care.
You leveled a charge against me now back it up or keep quiet. The fact is you can't and I called you on it. Now stop posting rubbish. You throw out flippant remarks then point your croocked little finger at Christians when they respond to them. You make claims you cannot back upt and now you want to get back on topic just as soon as you were nail. LOL! Ok.
BTW I don't care about your beliefs, I care about your claims you can't back up. Further more you won't say what you believe. I am willing to bet money you are a liberal atheist. You run from this label just like every other coward liberal. Ghosthunter 10-14-05, 11:02 AM

UDL emphasizes on building flexible curriculum that can be accessed by all, improving access to learning through three networks: recognition, strategic and affective (Rose, Meyer, Strangman and Rappolt, 2002). It is based on three principles which enhance the three learning networks (Rose et al, 2002):
  • Provide multiple, flexible methods of presentation. Provide multiple, flexible methods of expression and apprenticeship. Provide multiple, flexible means of engagement.
  • Learning Goal
Students will understand how Da Vinci relied on observation as a valuable tool to obtain information to construct his works in art and science.

    Leonardo Da Vinci Biography
Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect, and engineer whose genius, perhaps more than that of any other figure, epitomized the Renaissance humanist ideal. His Last Supper (1495-97) and Mona Lisa (1503-06) are among the most widely popular and influential oil paintings of the Renaissance. His notebooks reveal a spirit of scientific inquiry and a mechanical inventiveness that were centuries ahead of his time. There has never been an artist who was more fittingly, and without qualification, described as a genius. Like Shakespeare, Leonardo came from an insignificant background and rose to universal acclaim. Leonardo was the illegitimate son of a local lawyer in the small town of Vinci in the Tuscan region. His father acknowledged him and paid for his training. He was taught by Andrea del Verrocchio (1435-88), an engaging painter whose great achievement was his sculpture. The definitive polymath, Leonardo had almost too many gifts, including superlative male beauty, a splendid singing voice, magnificent physique, mathematical excellence and scientific enquiry. This overabundance of talents caused him to treat his artistry lightly, seldom finishing a picture, and sometimes making rash technical experiments. The Last Supper, in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, for example, has almost vanished, so inadequate were his innovations in fresco preparation.
