I was so mad I had to go back over this thing after I wrote it and bowdlerize myself. Lots of bad guys have set important records. Rickey Henderson was as hard to take as anyone. Who can forget his, "I am the greatest of all time," speech after breaking Lou Brock's record for stolen bases. Bad guys? Who the [heck] do you think you are talking about Rickey like that? Bad guy? Ask Tony Gwynn if Rickey's a bad guy. Hell, if you feel so bad for Lou Brock, ask him. Brock helped Rickey write that speech, you know. Because Lou Brock isn't a player-hating [glans]. Calling Rickey a bad guy should be a felony, and comparing him as this [rear-facing orifice] does to Pete Rose and Ty Cobb should be a gas chamber bounce. You've got to know your place, Feinstein, and yours is way below Rickey. Rickey's better at everything than you are at anything. Rickey Henderson is a run, man. That's it. When you see Rickey Henderson, I don't care when, the score's already 1-0. If he's with you, that's great. If he's not, you won't like it."
- A's teammate Mitchell Page Rickey Henley Henderson was born on December 25, 1958 , in Chicago, Illinois . I am assuming that sometime between then and high school his family moved out to Oakland, California , for Rickey graduated from Oakland's Technical High School in 1976. There he played baseball basketball and football . After graduating, Rickey received several offers and scholarships to play football, but Rickey turned them down. Rickey was drafted late in the June draft, in the 4th round, by the Oakland Athletics . In he played for Modesto in the California League, and had a then record 95 stolen bases and became the 4th professional baseball player to steal 7 bases in one game! Rickey would make his Major League Baseball debut on June 23, 1979

Tigers Weekly 2004 Season
Week 2: 4/13/04 - 4/19/04
Well folks, the Tigers have slipped out of first place...but not by much. It was a war of attrition this week for the squad, as they had their good games, but they had their share of the bad ones. Last year, this week would be seen as a pretty positive thing. This year, I hope that this is considered a bad week. But for now, the 3-4 clip keeps the Tigers sitting with a nice record as they head to a place that is their Waterloo...the Metrodome. After that endeavor, the boys come home for a nine game homestand. Over that stand, the Tigers will play the Angels, and we'll see how they stand up against a team that is expected to be a strong force. Eat it up! New Subscribers: Rob "Chico" Pettineo Matt "Lawton" Bednar Cortney "Mike" Schmitt Week of 4/13 - 4/19 Record: 3-4 LWLLWLW Undy Five Hundy: Hahaha. Again, we have no need of the index (Tigers at -3). So this week we shall loan to index to another American League team who may be in need of such a millstone. Let's see, why don't we pass the index off to...the New York Yankees?!?! Ooooh, too bad for George and his team of mercenaries. For you, Mr. Steinbrenner, the Undy-Five-Hundy sits at 1. You're undy...undy-five-hundy. Poor guys.
