Long day today... but fun! mood tired music Okay... so alot of stuff happened
since my last blog, so bear with me
if this is a little poorly written.
Well, here goes: My aunt was
babysitting Brandon again... thankfully my cousin's back so this time it was more enjoyable...To make a long story short the most notable event of tha day was my cousin slamming Brandon's head while Brandon just sat there crying for my aunt to help him. The story ended tragically, with my cousin being put in time out for ripping Brandon's shirt. Nobody cares when poor Brandon is practically castrated (no folks, not even me...), but heaven forbid someone tear up his $15 shirt!!!! After I finished drawing the Nazi SS flag for my cousin, who wants to use it as his

Augustus Caesar
Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus 62 BC - August 19, A.D. 14 ) was the first Roman Emperor . Before he became emperor, he is often referred to as Octavian in English speaking countries. He was accorded the name or title Augustus by the Senate of Rome in 27 BC , and as emperor is often referred to as Augustus Caesar Augustus Octavian , or simply Augustus Julius Caesar made provisions in his will adopting his great-nephew Gaius Octavius Thurinus as his son and heir. In the Roman custom, Octavius took his uncle's name as part of his own. At the time of Julius Caesar's death Octavianus was 18. He was appointed as a member of the Second Triumvirate to rule Rome. To take leadership of the Caesarian forces he returned to Rome from Greece and successfully outmaneuvered Marcus Antonius for leadership of Caesar's armies and control of his political forces, ultimately defeating Antony at the Battle of Actium on September 2 31 BC Octavian's military right-hand-man was Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa , and his link with the important class of the Equites or 'Equestrian class' was Gaius Maecenas . Augustus's evident intention was to have Agrippa succeed him; he arranged for Agrippa to divorce his wife and marry Julia, Augustus's daughter from his first marriage. When Agrippa died unexpectedly in

Augustus
From the Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can change
(Redirected from Augustus Caesar Jump to: navigation search Augustus Caesar Augustus September 23 63 BC August 19 ) was the first and one of the most important Roman Emperors. He led Rome into the first stages of becoming the mightiest empire the world had ever seen. Octavius Augustus Caesar was the adopted son of the dictator of the Roman Republic, Gaius Julius Caesar . Octavian came into power in the second triumvirate (3 men ruling as one body over the Roman Republic), along with Marcus Antonius ( Mark Antony ) and Lepidus. Augustus and Antonius were loyal to Julius Caesar, the assassinated dictator, killed in 44 BC. Following his death a civil war broke out across Rome, between those loyal to Caesar, and those loyal to Caesar's rival Pompey . There was short break in the war during the rule of the triumvirate, but Lepidus' death, and Mark Antony's staying in Egypt with Cleopatra , only resulted in further bloodshed. After winning this bloody power struggle, Octavian was voted as the first Emperor of Rome by the Senate following the battle of Actium in 31 BC, and he took the name "Augustus" (which ment the exalted). He ruled until AD 14, when his stepson and son-in-law Tiberius became Emperor in his place.

  • Home Visiting What's on Explore ... Highlights Article index Explore / Articles After the defeat of Mark Antony and Cleopatra VII at the Battle of Actium in 31 BC, Octavian became undisputed master of Rome and its territories and, as Augustus, the first true emperor. Augustus's boast that he found Roman a city of brick and left it a city of marble is borne out by the enormous list of his building projects in Rome itself, and many more were undertaken abroad. In Rome most public buildings were embellished or rebuilt from scratch. In the provinces, either through personal involvement or imperial pressure, civic buildings of all types were erected. It was very important to impress on the people of the vast Roman Empire that there was now a single, strong ruler. The image of the emperor therefore became very important, from the mass imagery of coinage to metal and stone sculptures, and luxury pieces such as gems, seal-stones and cameos.

Augustus Caesar
Clan: Toreador
Reign: Mar 96 - Sep 96
Status: Lost the Throne in a Praxis Seizure
Whereabouts: unknown, presumed deceased
Appointed Prince of the Domain of Atlanta by the Archons, after the disappearance of Sebastian Young, Augustus was an idealist that hoped to bring stability and peace to the Domain of Atlanta. Augustus was very much an enigma. He was often seen to wield crackling bolts of energy from his fists, among other strange powers. These oddities were believed to be tied to a group of strange and mystical Tarot cards that Augustus hoarded with maniacal intensity. His sanity was called into question towards the end of his reign, and some even hinted that he might actually be a doppleganger of some sort. Although considered by many to be a politically powerless puppet held in place only by the will of the Archons, Augustus had a small and devoted core of supporters that wished to see a lasting change in the power structure of Atlanta. Unfortunately, Augustus's support broke like a ship against a reef when the storm of opposition came crashing against it in September of 1996. The praxis seizure was well organized and strong and the coup was short and bloody as nearly all of Augustus's loyal administration were cut down like chaff.
