Anselm Hollo Finnish North American Literature Association Biographical Information Anselm Hollo was born 1934 in Helsinki, Finland, and educated in Finland and the US. He moved to the US permanently in 1966. At universities in Iowa, Colorado, and Maryland, he has taught creative writing. He teaches at Naropa Institute in Boulder, CO, and is a renowned translator who is fluent in German, English, Swedish, and Finnish. He has more than twenty translations of poetry, prose and drama to his credit. As well, he is an excellent poet in his own right. Publications Hollo, Anselm.
