Family Life: Lisa lives with Godfrey, her 17 year old cat. Early writing: She wrote under the name of Lisa Wing from 1986 until 1991. While in graduate school, her play, Blush at Nothing, was chosen as the inaugural production of the Purple Rose Theater in Chelsea, Michigan. Wrote several plays in New York City, but quit after a few years. Career writing: Stumbled into novel writing and taught novel writing and short fiction at New Yorks Gotham Writers Workshop. Also worked for Adolescent Psychiatric Division of St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital, where she ran a creative writing workshop for teens aged twelve to seventeen. Selected Works Plays:
