Arabic language can become progressive and popular In the era of globalisation, there are a lot of reading books in English which can be obtained electronically or through centres and the English language subject. Arabic language, in comparison, has no mechanism for it to widely developed or has never been initiated or given serious attention by the Muslim community itself. The community surely should not rely on others to popularize the Arabic language other than themselves. The Deputy Minister of Education laid the emphasis at the International Conference on Arabic Language Curriculum for non-Arabs, Tuesday. The function took place at Chancellor Hall of the UBD. Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Mohammad said that he believed the Arabic language can become progressive and popular. It is also needed in the ever changing world today that foresees the development of Islamic values. This is because the Islamic values in the fields of finance, banking, Halal food and Islamic morals have been accepted and recognised by the international community. The one-day conference will see working papers tabled by local and foreign participants regarding the development of the Arabic language in the region.

JREF Forum General Topics Conspiracy Theories PDA View Full Version : Dear Al Qaeda PerryLogan 12th January 2007, 04:14 AM Dear Al Qaeda:
I strongly disapprove of your terrorist activities. I implore you to stop the violence immediately.
On a lighter note, I thought you might like to know that a small percentage of white males in America, England, and elsewhere think you guys are completely fake!
They call themselves the Truth Movement. They consist almost entirely of low-IQ, alienated white males who think there's a secret world takeover going on, perceptible only to them.
What can I say? We're a crazy, decadent culture!
The "Truthers," as we affectionately call them, say everything you guys do is bogus. They say that Al Qaeda is not even realthat you guys are too stupid and primitive to bring off 9/11, that you were essentially hired to help the U.S. government fake the whole thing.
I hope this amuses you, because this is what the "Truth Movement" is saying about you guys. If not, I have appended the names and addresses of all the Truth Movement people I know. I'm sure you can track the rest down.
Sincerely

Print this page Thirty-second Edition - The Arabic Language Arabic is a Semitic language of the Arabo-Canaanite subgroup (Ruhlen 1987). With approximately 186 million speakers, it ranks in sixth place among the world’s major languages, behind Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, English and Bengali. In general, Arabic it may be sub-classified as follows: Classical Arabic (CA) – the language of poetry, literature and the Qur’an (Koran). As the language of the Qur'an, Muslims believe that it is the word or God and, thus it began with the creation of the world (Gerguson 1959:330). Described and standardized by Arab linguists in the 8th and 9th centuries, the language has survived to this day. Modern Standard Arabic, a streamlined and modernized version of Classical Arabic, was developed during the 19th and 20th centuries. Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) – The official language of the Arab world, differs from CA in vocabulary and style, but has remained unchanged in terms syntax and structure. MSA is the language of Islamic worship, contemporary literature, journalism, television and scientific writing. It is acquired through formal education, as a second language. Educated Arabs throughout the Arab world can read and understand the same newspaper printed in MSA.

Shallow. Cultureless. Lacking in self-confidence.
"What drives a person to converse in a language not his own? Is it that he considers the Arabic language not worthy of being spoken? Or is the English language, or as they refer to it, the language of the civilized youth, superior to Arabic?
This, of course, stems from lack of self confidence! This person tries to make up this deficiency in his personalities by using a language other than his own to appear better - according to his faulty perspective- and to appear to be a civilized youth!"
As translated by yours truly from an Gulfian Arabic blog which I won't link to because I am not in the mood to start a flame-war (but are you surprised to find out that it's the blog of the same person who believes that the word "Bye" is a mighty conspiracy against our convictions?

Issue of Continuity: "Whenever someone tells them: 'Believe in what God has sent down;' they say: 'We believe [only] in what has been sent down to us,' while they disbelieve in what has come after that, even though it is the Truth confirming what they already have." (Qur'an 2:87 )
Muslims claim that Allah is the same God of the Bible, and the message of the Koran is consistent with that of the Bible.
Therefore, their claim for converting Jews or Christians to Islam rests on this issue, otherwise if their deity is a different 'god' with a different message, their claims are refuted.
Who is Allah? The word Allah was derived from al-ilah which had become a generic title for whatever god was considered the highest god. Each Arab tribe used Allah to refer to its own particular high god. This is why Hubal, the Moon god, was the central focus of prayer at the Kabah and people prayed to Hubal using the name Allah. (Dr. Robert Morey; <A href="http://www.cultbusters.com/allah.htm">http://www.cultbusters.com/allah.htm)
"Islam also owes the term "Allah" to the heathen Arabs. We have evidence that it entered into numerous personal names in Northern Arabia and among the Nabatians. It occurred among the Arabs of later times, in theophorous names and on its own."

Christianity emerges as a movement, and then splits from Judaism. Rabbi Jacob ben Asher of Spain writes the Arba'ah Turim (Four Rows of Jewish Law). First Jewish prayer book published in Italy. Jews expelled from Sicily. As many as 137,000 exiled. Jewish population of Poland reached 450,000 or 4.5% whole population. Bohemia 40,000 and Moravia 25,000. Worldwide population of Jewry is estmated at 750,000. Rabbi Yehuda Hehasid moves to Eretz Yisrael accompanied by hundreds of his followers. In preparation for their arrival, the residents of Jerusalem build dwellings and a synagogue. A few days after his arrival, Rabbi Yehuda dies suddenly, to the dismay of his followers. Arab residents of Jerusalem break into the synagogue built for Rabbi Yehuda Hehasid, destroying it and expelling all Ashkenazy Jews from the city. The attack results from a debt the Ashkenazi community owed the Arab residents from the time of Rabbi Yehuda Hehasid. Jewish population of Poland reaches 750,000 or 8.0% of total. The worldwide Jewish population is estimated at 1,200,000.
