    Steve Susdorf continues to garner recognition for his outstanding college baseball career at Fresno State. The most recent recognition came on Tuesday when it was announced that Susdorf was named to the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Second Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.     The Fresno State track and field team has already left its mark in the Bulldog history book. The 2008 team has qualified 21 athletes, the most in school history, for the NCAA West Regional slated for May 30-31. Fourteen women and seven men have earned bids to the regional. GAMBIER, Ohio (May 27, 2008) Junior Elizabeth Carlton has established herself as a national champion swimmer and an excellent student in her Kenyon College career. With a 3.95 grade point average and eight national titles to her credit, the College Sports Information Directors of America had an easy decision to include her on their Academic All-District At-Large first team.

Myers Releases Redbirds' 2008 Schedule

Illinois State head volleyball coach Melissa Myers announced the Redbirds' complete 2008 schedule Tuesday, a top-notch slate that includes defending national champion Penn State, along with six other opponents that competed in the 2007 NCAA Tournament. The Redbirds will also take on in-state rival Illinois at Redbird Arena on Sept. 16, and host the Redbird Classic (Sept. 5-6) for the second-consecutive season.
