Bereavement and Grief Ministry
As human beings, we have "a constant companion," and that companion is our own death. It is "breathtakingly brief." However, when death or some unwanted change comes into our lives, individuals often feel devastated, confused, numb, angry, hopeless; their hearts ache. The mission of the Bereavement and Grief Ministry is to journey with each individual so that healing of these painful emotions comes through rediscovering the love, peace, and joy that reside within us eternally. No matter how sad, depressed, disappointed, angry, or hopeless we feel at any given moment, we can never lose love, peace, and joy; because love, peace, and joy are the essence of who we are. Bereavement and Grief Ministry facilitators are specially prepared so that they can enable individuals to confront grief while on their life-long journey of separation from someone they love. Bereavement and Grief Ministry facilitators are assigned in teams to work with a variety of groups who either are currently or have previously experienced grief. These groups include, but are not limited to, the following: - Men and women of mixed ages
- Young men and women (21-35)
- Mature adult women (50+)
- Mature adult men (50+) For further information, please
