EMAIL Chinese Language Grade 1 Grade 2 Grade 3 Grade 4 Grade 5 Grade 6 Chinese Language for Primary School is a series of six textbooks and six workbooks that are used in Singapore schools as a second language curriculum. Hanyu pinyin is used in this series. (Hanyu pinyin is the most commonly used system for the romanization of the Chinese "written sound". Hanyu pinyin has been the national standard of China since 1958, and an international standard ( ISO 7098:1991, 2nd ed. ) since 1982). There are no English instructions or translations in these books. There are a few audio exercises in the workbooks, but we do not carry the CDs. There are no answer keys for this series. Please note this series uses Simplified Chinese. Traditional Chinese is still used to write characters in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Simplified Chinese is used in Mainland China and Singapore.
Our recommendation:
Chinese Language for Primary school is ideal as a second language curriculum.

Chinese language
From open-dictionary.com - the free dictionary There are actually several different Chinese languages and dialects, localized to the several provinces which form the People's Republic of China. The official language used for administration is commonly referred to as Mandarin. Mandarin is a language that consists of basic words and compound words. Each basic word is one syllable, and compound words are basic words put together to form a new meaning, like fire + machine means Railroad. Unlike most other languages, especially the other two major languages of the world, Spanish and English, Mandarin is a tonal language, that means, that in Mandarin it matters how the speaker intonates a syllable, so that the syllable ma can mean either Mother, Marihuanaplant, Horse or to insult. It is thus very important for a foreigner learning Mandarin to get the tones right. Referring to someone's Mother or to his horse makes a huge difference in politeness.
