ULTRAS IN FRANKREICH Die Ultra Bewegung in Frankreich ist Mitte der achtziger Jahre entstanden. Die Voreiter dieser Bewegung kamen aus den Städten Marseille, Paris oder Nizza. Commando ultra 84, Boulogne Boys 85 oder die Südbrigade 85 sind auch heute noch ein Begriff für die Ultraszene in Frankreich. Kurz nach der Gründung dieser Gruppen erschienen in den Städten wie Bordeaux, Mülhausen oder noch Saint-Etienne ähnliche Gruppen. Das große Vorbild lag wie in ganz Europa in Italien, die Begeisterung und die Macht italienischen Ultragruppierungen waren Ansporn genug für die Jugendlichen in Frankreich dieses Modell zu übernehmen. Heute kann man sagen, dass es eigentlich nur in Marseille, Paris und St. Etienne geklappt hat, die Ultra Mentalität der ganzen Fankurve einzuflößen. Jeder Verein der 1 und 2 Division hat eine Ultra Gruppierung vorzuweisen, jedoch fristen viele dieser Gruppen das Dasein eines besseren Fanclubs ohne größeren Einfluss auf die Fanszene, es herrscht somit eine ähnliche Situation wie in Deutschland. Für jeden französischen Ultra gab es 2 Epochen, eine vor dem Alliot Marie Gesetz und eins danach. In der Tat errichtete dieser Minister ein hartes Unterdrückungsgesetz gegen Ultras. Eines seiner härtesten Traktionen war das Verbot von jeglicher Pyrotechnik in den Stadien zu Beginn der 90 iger Jahre, auch wurden härtere Strafen in Verbindung mit Fanausschreitungen erlassen und die Ordnungsmacht hielt mit vielen Hundertschaften Einzug in den Stadien der Republik. Die zuspitzende Unterdrückung empfanden die aktiven Gruppen als „Amputation ihrer Gliedmaßen“ denn ab sofort wurde jegliche Abweichung vom rechten Pfad mit harten Strafen geahndet.

Gaul was conquered for Rome by Julius Caesar in the 1st century BC, and the Gauls eventually adopted Roman speech ( Latin , from which the French language evolved) and Roman culture. Christianity took root in the 2nd century and 3rd century AD, and became so firmly established by the fourth and fifth centuries that St. Jerome wrote that Gaul was the only region "free from heresy". In the 4th century AD, Gaul's eastern frontier along the Rhine was overrun by Germanic tribes , principally the Franks , from whom the ancient name of "Francie" was derived. The modern name "France" derives from the name of the feudal domain of the Capetian Kings of France around Paris.
