    The national flag of Indonesia
    *Introduction
Indonesia is one of the most significant nations in the world. Many may not know for example that it is home to more Muslims than any other nation in the world. Moreover, the nation has some of the most diverse terrain in the world with its rolling mountains, jungles, seasides and large urban centers. Also, the history behind this young nation is full of significant violence and events. Some may not realize that it is also one of the most discriminatory nations in the world and one of the most socially improving nations. Lastly, Indonesia is vastly improving also in terms of its economy. These are all significant reasons as to why Indonesia should not be dismissed as "just another small nation" because it is not that. Truly, Indonesia is one of the most interesting nations in the world as well as one of the most significant. Thus, it deserves much attention, which is the purpose of the following discussion.

Sixth Report - 2nd Stage Hi pals, I have just finished crossing the Island of Java in Indonesia. After visiting the temples of Borubudur in Yogiakarta I road across the mountains in the middle of the island, reached Jakarta and took a ship to Malaysia. The island is so densely populated that you will not see an inch that is not taken by some construction. There are few high-rise towers and the houses are distributed all over the place. In the areas where houses are scantier, they have their rice fields.
People working in the rice fields Their staple diet is fish and poultry as cattle raising activity is almost non-existent. Fish and poultry are served in traditional restaurants, which are actually tents put up by the roads, where there will be a makeshift cooker and tables on the pavement. These restaurants play an important social role, especially as squares are very few and far between. I went to quite a few of these restaurants, always following the tradition of eating with my right hand, as eating with one's left hand is lack of respect (they use their left hands instead of a toilet paper!). The dishes, with lots of rice and pepper, are generally cooked wrapped in banana tree leaves. All you have to do is unwrap it and eat straight from the leaf. In Yogiakarta I visited the Borubudur Temple, one of the biggest and oldest Buddhist temples in Asia. It is a massive building of volcanic rocks and is located on the top of a hill, from where you can have a most fantastic view of the surroundings. The slope leading to the temple is terraced and ornamented with hundreds of tiny sculptures very rich in detail. The top terrace is circular and offers a most breathtaking view of the mountains around the valley. This terrace is full of bell-shaped stone constructions that house Buddhist statues. Today, this temple is the main tourist attraction of the island of Java. Besides the temples, people can also visit the Kraton palace in Yogiakarta and see works of art and the artists that lend a special local colour to the place.
