    Iran Government Censors Blogs
Hoder reports Friends in Iran, journalists and technicians, are saying that judiciary officials have ordered all major ISP to filter all blogging services including PersianBlog, BlogSpot, Blogger, BlogSky, and even BlogRolling. They have also ordered to filter Orkut, Yahoo Personals and some other popular dating and social networking websites. This is bad news. Iran's previous willingness to let the blogosphere emerge was a sign of progress. Now the regime is showing its fear of people's voices. I hope some proxy servers and other workarounds get put into place quickly. 10:03 AM Permalink

"If we take the full meaning of the term society into consideration, it will be seen that till now human beings have not been able to form a real society. If India builds a society for only Indians, Pakistan for only Pakistanis, and England for only the English, then these three separate societies will exist, but we cannot look upon them as the society of humanity. Because humanity is divided into groups, one society will naturally try to thrive by exploiting the vitality of others. You will notice that efforts are being made to establish so-called societies in some particular part of the world, for some particular section of the people, and based on some particular 'ism" or faith. A social consciousness based on such divisions lies latent in the minds of the people, whether they are Indian, Pakistani or English, so they remain absorbed in thoughts of their smaller groups." - Shrii Prabhat R. Sarkar

"Human beings have still not been able to form a human society, and have still not learned to move with the spirit of a pilgrim. Although many small groups, motivated by self-interest, work together in particular situations, not even a small fraction of their work is done with a broader social motive. By strict definition, shall we have to declare that each small family unit is a society in itself? If going ahead in mutual adjustment only out of narrow self-interest or momentary self-seeking is called society, then in such a society, no provision can be made for the disabled, the diseased or the helpless, because in most cases nobody can benefit from them in any way... in that case there always remains the possibility of some people getting isolated from the collective. All human beings must attach themselves to others by the common bond of love and march forward hand in hand; then only will I proclaim it a society." - Shrii Prabhat R. Sarkar

    11. Christian Persecution Blog: Iran Government Tries To Force Christians To Deny Ch
A weblog about Christian persecution around the world. The Persecution Blog shares news and information of concern to Christians about the persecuted
    http://www.persecutionblog.com/2007/04/iran_government.html
hostName = '.persecutionblog.com'; Main April 9, 2007 Iran Government Tries to Force Christians to Deny Christ This morning even before I read this latest news from VOM Media I was wondering what would happen if some government official came to my church and demanded that the worshippers deny Christ or get killed. I honestly wonder who would stand and who would fold...because I believe some will fold. Well, this morning VOM Media shares with us the lastest from Iran and how the Christians there are STANDING firm. Read on... The Iranian government attempts to force Christians to deny Christ through threats, interrogations and beatings. Believers are standing steadfast and continue spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Reportedly, Iranian officials treated British sailors, held in Iran for more than a week, very well. Government officials have not been nearly as cordial to their own citizens who follow Jesus Christ. The Voice of the Martyrs recently received information from an Iranian source that on November 1, 2006, while “Azedeh,” was returning from witnessing to a family that received Christ, she was abducted and driven away in a government car.“Azedeh was threatened, interrogated and forced to deny Christ. She refused and was eventually released. As Azedeh and her sister continued evangelizing, the government randomly summoned them once or twice a month for interrogations and threats. Many times the government demanded the sisters deny Christ, or turn in other Christians, but the sisters refused,” VOM sources said.' When the sisters were not being watched by the government their neighbors reported their activities to the police. They were beaten many times, even attacked with a knife and their landlord evicted them.
