Beginning Meditation CDs
Reading about meditation simply adds mental constructs and expectations that become barriers. Thus, I recommend that beginners listen to meditation CDs (using headphones) and read only when they are confused about a specific point. Like anything worth pursuing, meditation requires a solemn vow in order to break through the first stages of mental rebellion. Then meditation becomes a blissful, pleasurable, dynamic experience to look forward to. The point is to learn to connect with your Inner Teacher anytime, anywhere. Below are excepts from the book

As more and more people  recognize their true identity through meditation, there will be an increase in the awareness to recognize the presence of same supreme consciousness in everybody. This website is my humble effort to present the knowledge of meditation to busy people of today in a simple and  easy to understand language. However, it is also true that different people have different temperament and do not share the same spiritual advancement level. Therefore, despite trying my best to put the knowledge of meditation in a simple language, I can not claim with hundred percent surety that anybody who reads this website will become an expert in meditation. Well, to make everybody an expert in meditation is not also the aim of this website. The basic aim of this website is :

Home Meditation Meditation... Towards a Stress Free Life
Meditation: What it is !!! An ordinary person may consider meditation as a worship or prayer. But it is not so. Meditation means awareness. Whatever you do with awareness is meditation. "Watching your breath" is meditation; listening to the birds is meditation. As long as these activities are free from any other distraction to the mind, it is effective meditation. Meditation is not a technique but a way of life. Meditation means 'a cessation of the thought process' . It describes a state of consciousness, when the mind is free of scattered thoughts and various patterns . The observer (one who is doing meditation) realizes that all the activity of the mind is reduced to one. A Tibetan Lama was being monitored on a brain scan machine by a scientist wishing to test physiological functions during deep meditation. The scientist said - "Very good Sir. The machine shows that you are able to go very deep in brain relaxation, and that validates your meditation". "No", said the Lama, "This (pointing to his brain) validates the machine!". These days it is commonly understood to mean some form of spiritual practice where one sits down with eyes closed and empties the mind to attain inner peace, relaxation or even an experience of God. Some people use the term as "my gardening is my meditation" or for jogging or art or music, hence creating confusion or misunderstanding.

New Divine Feminine Images to be Installed on Sanctuary Walking Paths
New images of the Divine Feminine from across a variety of cultures and times will soon be installed along the Sanctuary’s contemplative walking paths. Encased in glass display frames, these beautiful images exemplify the understanding expressed by the Blessed Mother in Her apparitional manifestation, that She is “The One in the Many”… the embodiment of every form of the Divine Feminine and yet, is beyond them all. As it was in the sanctuary of his illustrious teacher, Paramahansa Muktananda, Master Charles is recreating here at Synchronicity Sanctuary, a classical element within the spiritual lifestyle such that everywhere one looks, there is an empowering reminder of Sourceful reality and the divinity of life itself.

On-line Lectionary Readings
THURSDAY, May 29
Matthew 13:24-30. Let both [the weeds and wheat] grow together until the harvest. The kingdom of heaven is the rule of God whose name and nature is love. It is the experience of God's love, loving relationships with others, and self acceptance. It exists here and now. But it exists in a world where people estranged from God use and abuse one another. We know moments of wholeness, but we also know horrible loss from violence, illness, and untimely death. We experience reconciliation and healing, but we also suffer from conflict, coercion, and destruction. The kingdom of God exists in a world filled with sinful people. In the words of the parable, it is the wheat in the midst of weeds.
The tendency, especially among religious folk, is to seek a perfect world by getting rid of all the weeds. Even in church the desire by conservative and liberal alike is to be rid of those who oppose them. Imperfect people are a poor instrument for purging the world of evil; they become oppressors themselves. Pulling the weeds also destroys the wheat. We are not to judge
because judging destroys ourselves as well as the other.

Learn more Meditation Other common name(s): mindfulness meditation, Transcendental Meditation Scientific/medical name(s): None Description Meditation is a mind-body process that uses concentration or reflection to relax the body and calm the mind. It has been defined as the intentional self-regulation of attention, a mental focus on a particular aspect of one's inner or outer experience. One commonly practiced type is Transcendental Meditation, which involves repeating a word or phrase (mantra), either silently or aloud. Another is mindfulness meditation, in which a person observes sensations, perceptions, and thoughts without judgment as they arise. There are other types of meditation that focus attention by walking or visualizing. Meditations that focus on words or images and do not strive for a state of thoughtless awareness are sometimes called quasi-meditative. Overview Meditation is one of several relaxation methods evaluated by an independent panel, convened by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The panel found that it might be a useful complementary therapy for treating chronic pain and insomnia (sleeping problems). Some cancer treatment centers offer meditation or relaxation therapy along with the usual medical care. Available scientific evidence does not suggest that meditation is effective in treating cancer or any other disease; however, it may help to improve the quality of life for people with cancer.
