The book is important for the cause of the family and all of humanity, but it is politically incorrect. No publisher could be found for it.

My call to the Caplis and Silverman show about Dowd
Subject: What do men really want? A response to Maureen Dowd’s column and book.
Transcript from the Caplis and Silverman talk show on Denver’s KHOW 630 AM on Friday November 18, 2005
Dan Caplis: Steven, how you doing my friend?
Craig Silverman: Yo, Steve.
Steve: I’m on here, great … my main point was … men just want women who will respect them, and I think what Maureen Dowd might miss is that men may not mind women who are smart and successful. What else puts men off is … a condescending, demeaning attitude - sometimes that comes across.
Caplis: But where do you think that comes from? Because that stereotype is out there of … the woman that’s just so harsh and demeaning and doesn’t respect the guy, but where do you think that comes from?
Steve: Well … I own a men’s issues group online and … the general consensus is that a lot of that’s coming from society, and may have trickled down from feminism that may have started out as something benign but if you look the way men are portrayed in the media, or in commercials, it’s sometimes downright demeaning, and … maybe that’s filtering into the collective … subconscious of a lot of them.
Caplis: I don’t buy that, big fellow. I think blaming everything on feminism - that’s just a cop out. I think what happens is a lot of this comes back to us. I think from kindergarten on women are separated out by who are the pretty ones and who aren’t and they’re not treated as well if they’re not as pretty and there’s a resentment that develops that I think’s perfectly understandable.

    Memorial Day.......
A yearly reminder that the greatest atrocity of sexual discrimination is alive and well. That 99% of the dead, wounded, maimed, and pyscologically damaged people from combat are male simply because women are excluded because of their gender. This while they demand the "right" to "serve" and get the education and benefits.
What a f-ing joke. Comment on this Sunday, May 18th, 2008 11:46 am

Subsidizing lifestyle choices, why should businesses do this? I think I might ask once I am hired on about their pregnancy policies and also how long I have to be working for vacation so I can use some of that too. I know there are probably a lot of women who haven't been working a year and have gotten pg. There is discrimination against women in the workplace due to sexism and entrenched culture, and this is the other side, where women contribute to the problem. What company wouldn't prefer men as employees over women like the above? An honest person would be up-front about their plans, but then no one would hire them.

Honda Pilot ad: "My husband was raised by wolves" posted by Thomas on 06:27 PM May 26th, 2004
writes "Honda has an annoying ad for its Pilot SUV where a wife states that "My husband was raised by wolves." The first time I saw this was on Super Bowl Sunday (the day of the infamous Janet Jackson incident at half-time). It showed the husband looking all dishevelled while licking a plate like a dog, drinking straight from the water cooler at work, and chasing a Frisbee (thrown by his son) into a stream.
I hate this nonsense! They can expect a letter from me about where I'll buy my next car (unless there is an apology and a retraction of the ad in which case I might reconsider). Men's issues - coping with erectile problems
Viagra® is not advisable for persons taking nitrate-based medications, since a medication interaction may cause a sudden and potentially dangerous reduction in blood pressure, even if the nitrate medications are taken occasionally. It is important to take Viagra® only when prescribed by a doctor who knows all of the treatments and medications you are taking. Side effects of Viagra® in the clinical trials were relatively minor and infrequent, with headache, facial flushing, indigestion, dizziness, and blue-green visual aura being reported. There are a number of other oral medications in clinical trials for erectile dysfunction, including Vasomax® and IC351®. These medications work by relaxing smooth muscle in the penis, which enhances the ability to develop and maintain erections. Further testing is required on these medications, and it is not yet known whether they will be helpful in MS. Other medications being tested work directly in the brain to increase neurotransmitters that facilitate erectile capacity. Another medical approach available for erectile dysfunction in MS involves the injection into the penis of medications, such as alprostadil (Prostin VR®) or papaverine, which increase blood flow and help maintain blood volume within the spongy erectile tissues. Auto injectors are available that work with a simple push-button mechanism. The injection usually causes only mild discomfort, and is described as similar to being flicked by a rubber band. Side effects are minimal for most users, if instructions by the urologist or prescribing physician are carefully followed. Overly prolonged erections, called priapism, are a side effect that can damage the tissues of the penis. It is crucially important that a man never have an erection for more than four hours. If this occurs, he must see a doctor immediately, to be given an injection to reduce the erection. A second potential side effect is scarring at the injection site, which can occur in 7 - 10 % of men.

Ain't No Other Man?
In an article titled The High Cost of Manliness , Robert Jenson argues that rigid constructs of masculinity are damaging to both men and women. I find it so refreshing to see someone challenging arguments from biology! Yes - men and women are different! Me xx, you xy. But, my god, the social sciences literature routinely shows that within group differences are much more significant than between group differences. And, while we keep reproducing gender differences in our constant discourse of boys versus girls, we continue to marginalize ourselves into rigid categories. While I rarely post the full text of articles on this site, I have decided to give full space to this one man's voice (my emphasis, however!):
