Icrontic Forums Community The Icrontic Pub PDA View Full Version : Illegal? Nomad 8 Mar 2005, 10:28 PM At my school, pop got raised from $1.00 to $1.25. A quarter isn't really that big of a deal, but it is quite annoying to have to fumble for a quarter in between classes when most people bring fives or ones to school. What really makes it worse is that the machines constantly eat your money when you put quarters in them (It's been addressed several times and never fixed of course). So today, after my money was eaten again and they refused to give it back to me, I got an idea. I'm going to undercut my school. I am going to go to a wholesale store, I am going to buy Coke and Pepsi products in bulk, and then sell them for a quarter less than a school is during lunchtime. My reasons? - The school raised the price themselves for their own gain - People are fed up with the machines being ill-maintained and it is rather hard for me to eat your money, as tasty as it might be. - By making it one dollar it's easier for everyone, you don't have to screw with an extra quarter anymore to purchase something. - There'd be marginal profit for myself. Although I'd have to sell one pop to make a dollar, at lunch probably half of the eight hundred kids at my high school buy a pop at lunch. Obviously I couldn't serve them all, but after awhile that begins to add up when you account for the cost difference between how much each was whole sale. | |
