"Nobody benefits from chiropractic more than kids, but we need the parents to know this, not just the chiropractors. Its great to see an organization step up and gather the research to show chiropractic's safety and its benefits for kids. All wellness chiropractors should be a part of this."

The APA has a new name: Academic Pediatric Association!

In November 2007 the APA Membership voted in favor of changing the name of the organization as recommended by the Board of Directors. The name change is a critical and natural component of the associaton's ambitious 5-year Strategic Plan which is intended to serve members better and ultimately improve the health of children through enhanced academic professional development, education, patient care, research, and advocacy. The issues surrounding the name change are discussed at great length in the Strategic Plan(under what's new?).The new name will begin to be seen in various places and continue for a while as we make a full transition.
The new name carries with it an obligation to bring innovation and the best evidence to all of our work in education, clinical care, research, and advocacy on behalf of children and families.
