If anyone else wants to set up another place/time to meet, I'm game! Calimaryn 05-01-2007, 09:52 AM I am going on Saturday and probably with a friend or two. Since I volunteered last year and was in the ticket booth almost the entire time I don't recall how it was set up exactly. Hopefully I will stumble across Silvermane easily enough at noon. Get outta my head! I was just posting this earlier, but I can't remember the name of the hotel where I'm staying! Sad too, I was the one who made the reservations... lol
I'll be there at least Saturday with Cyranno. We're late risers and even though we're staying at a local hotel Friday night, we probably won't get there before noon, this is taking my "I hate all my garb" drama into account (especially now since it'll be the first day in a new bodice which I'm sure I won't be able to lace properly myself).

National mythology
Several origin legends for the Scots were created during the historical period, serving various purposes. Wishing to maintain a connection with Ireland, a common origin in the kingdom of D¡l Riata was asserted for many centuries. The Scottish Crown's claim of independence against the aggressively expansionist English Crown during the Scottish Wars of Independence was the incentive for other more creative origin legends.
Once the Picts were assimilated into the Gaelic world and their actual characteristics faded out of memory, folkloric elements filled the gaps of history. Their "sudden disappearance" was explained as a slaughter happening at a banquet given by Kenneth MacAlpin (an international folklore motif) and they were ascribed with powers like those of the fairies, brewing heather from secret recipes and living in underground chambers. In the eighteenth century, as Lowlanders were eager to be accepted as fellow Anglo-Saxons by the Anglocentric British Empire, the Picts were co-opted as a "Germanic" race despite the fact that linguistic studies have shown the Pictish language to have been either a pre-celtic or a brythonic language.

Last I heard, he was living/teaching on the south side of chicago. He had a 1-page web site up for a while, accessed thru Waysun Liao's site (www.taichitaocenter.com (http://www.taichitaocenter.com)), but it has since disappeared.
He was a great teacher, very creative and unique. kimballmaster 07-27-2006, 05:45 PM Hello everybody. This is KImball, I'm back. And I'm teaching again. Web TheFuselage.com The Fuselage Lost Episodes Lost Season 4 The Beginning of the End ... PDA View Full Version : Matthew Abbadon. Ticket back to the Island? Fierro 02-01-2008, 10:49 AM This may seem like a crazy idea, but I just rewatched the episode and this came to me...
Matthew Abaddon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbadon), that ultra creepy guy, claiming to be an Oceanic Airlines's attorney, said to Hurley that he was there to give him a little upgrade. Then he mentioned a 'facility' where he could see the 'ocean'.
What if he meant 'The Island'?
I mean, obviously, this guy does NOT work for Oceanic. So who does he work for?
In another thread, they are saying that this guy could actually be 'the devil'. Now, remember Cooper's definition of the Island? He said it was actually HELL.
I AM NOT saying the island is hell!!!!! But these are all little references or hints that when we put them together, we could arrive at certain 'entertaining' ideas.
Also, I think it is pretty safe to assume that Jack and the rest of the Oceanic 6 are gonna come back to the island. We know that Jack has been trying for a while without success. So they are gonna need somebody's else help in order to find the island back.
So Abbadon could be this person. He might have the right connections. Or he could actually be of a supernatural nature....
