Meditations and Ministers
August 12, 2007 We took the charabanc On Wednesday the sky was cloudless and the beaches of Cardigan Bay filled with holidaymakers, sunseekers, the sea-sports people, and families from near and far. As the hot sands teased our toes, we joined them for a refreshing dip in the serene Ceredigion sea. It was clear that day and below you could survey the wonders of the sea-floor. Above the aircraft scribbled ugly white trails against a pristine azure canvas. We held our heads under the water and listened to the strange hypnotic humming of the sea. We teased and laughed at each other as we made wild claims about crabs biting toes, octopuses ogling legs, squids and that mythical creature, the great white Cardigan Bay shark. As we meditated on our uplifting surroundings and the creatures that inhabit the seas, we noticed Rhodri Morgan, the Welsh Assembly First Minister

The Welsh language
is artificial or constructed language developed in the late 1980s by Master Cryptologist and Cunning Linguist Squeamish Ossifrage . Along with Esperanto Klingon Arabic and French , Welsh is another language that real people do not use, and is merely reserved for annoying the Scousers who travel on holiday.

The census gives a figure of 20.5% of the population of Wales as Welsh speakers (up from 18.5% in ), out of a population of about 3 million, however it appears that about a third of the population of Wales has immigrated within the last 30 years. Even among the Welsh-speakers, few, if any, residents of Wales are monolingual in Welsh. Although Welsh is a minority language, and thus threatened by the dominance of English , support for the language grew during the second half of the twentieth century , along with the rise of nationalist political organisations such as the political party Plaid Cymru and Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg[?]

Duffy Duffy is a fantastic new singer, sonically in the same vein as Amy winehouse with the 60s retro sound but perhaps less slickly produced. Visually she is rocking the sienna miller 2004 boho look...she has a great voice somewhere between dusty, erykah and a more powerful dolly..she is at present no.1 in the Uk Reply w/ Quote

Here is her wiki entry
Raised in Nefyn on the with her twin sister, Katy, her parents divorced when she was 10, and she moved to Pembrokeshire with her mother and sisters, while her father remained in Nefyn. Her early interest in singing was apparently inspired by her father, John Duffy's videotape of the 1960s television rock show Ready Steady Go!
Duffy returned to Nefyn when she was 15, and started singing in various local bands. After being involved in an unsuccessful music project in Switzerland , Duffy returned to Wales in 2003 and auditioned for Wawffactor , a Welsh alternative to Pop Idol on where she was expected to win, but eventually came second to winner Lisa Pedrig.
