[Most Recent Entries] [Calendar View] [Friends] Below are the most recent journal entries recorded in 's LiveJournal: Friday, May 18th, 2007 9:57 am Static-X concert (part 1) SO we went to the gas ststion to pay for osme ass raping gas...Then we went all the way across town...and got on I-55..We made it to STL in like less time than expected ..like a hour and 10 minutes..but it was so bad on the bridge by the exit to Cahokia that we waited on the highway for like 20 damn minutes...there was a billbord for Def Lepard and Styx that we made fun of...ghey...XxX Static X was WICKED!!!! I think this is the best ive seen them live! They didnt play So or The Only....They stsrte dout with Cannibal! Me and Cor went off with that.This chick in the back of us was bitchen how she was short and couldnt see...and i was standing next to a hippie...GHEY! Comment on this Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 9:01 am Scavenger hunt Ok.. so this summer me and Cory thought of something fun to do. Were gonna do a hardcore scavenger hunt. There will be to teams..Me and one fo my friends and Cory and one of his friends..and were gonna have certain missions we have to accomplish ..like we'll drive to Athens..write something on the boxing ring and we gotta take pictures of what we do. And go on other things....and then the last stop is in New Berlin were we meet up. And we chose New BErlin cos we tried to find a way there last summer and we never found it..lol..Whoever has completed the missions gets to pay for both team's gas.

John Aubrey John Aubrey, England's first archeologist, was born in Kingston, England in 1626. From childhood he had a love for history and antiquities. At the age of sixteen he entered Trinity College at Oxford University. He attended Trinity college intermittently over the next few years as his education was interrupted by civil war and illness. When he was 22 his father became ill and he returned home to look after his father’s business. A few weeks later he was hunting near the village of Avebury with his friends when he found "Downs sown with great Stones” which had long been ignored. This discovery of Stonehenge was Aubrey's greatest contribution to archeology. Aubrey inherited his father’s estate, but quickly squandered it as he pursued intellectual endeavors. He wrote on many subjects, but rarely finished anything. However, his work was appreciated by his circle of intellectual friends, including John Locke and Isaac Newton. By 1662 he had a well-established reputation as an antiquarian and was nominated as one of the Original Fellows of the Royal Society at Oxford.

In the late 1640s he found himself in close association with the intellectual avant-garde of his day, such as Hobbes, William Petty, and John Wilkins. In 1663 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society. His studies of antiquities include investigations of Stonehenge and a survey of the natural history of Wiltshire which gives him some claim to be among the first field archaeologists in Britain. He is best known for a series of biographies of eminent men and women of the 16th and 17th centuries, the definitive edition of which was published in 1898 as Brief Lives.
