Note to students: *** Feel free to explore the internet on your own.  Additional resources that each student may find are welcome but will need my approval to verify the material being used. Step 1. Here is the list of names each group can choose from.  However, each group must have their choice approved because I would like for each group to choose a different historical figure to interview.
  • Thomas Garrett William Still Harriet Tubman Frederick Douglass William Wells Brown Susan B. Anthony Jermain Loguen Lucretia Mott John Whittier Allen Pinkerton Josiah Henson Mary Ann Shadd WIlliam Garrison Jonathon Walker
Step 2. Listed below are internet resources for each person listed above.  Now that you have chosen a particular person to travel back in time to visit, gather as much information as possible and take notes on important information which will be useful for your interview presentation and display board.  You may also want to print out some of the pictures available on these sites to use for your collage.  As you go through and learn about your historical figure, think of questions you yourself would want to ask them...Don't be shy and most importantly, have fun!
