Comic Book Resources Forums CBR Forums You'll All Be Sorry PDA View Full Version : Greg Land just stopped trying Pages : Drakonnen 12-12-2006, 08:41 AM Well, its clear he traces. Maybe its just me...but frankly I don't care.
He may not have the natural talent of some other artists as a result of the tracing, but his finished product usually looks amazing. There is a downside to it to though, that being his reputation now sucks.
As for using other people's images, thats his problem and one for the people who owned the images or likeness if they have one. I'll not speak for them, but who knows how many of them even care.
What matters to me is at the end of the day the art is nice to look at, whether or not it was traced, lightboxed or what have you. Cayman 12-12-2006, 08:48 AM His Man-Thing cover is just gorgeous. 12-12-2006, 08:59 AM Why would I do that?
I don't have a problem with lightboxing.
We don't really, either. And we have tried to get that into your brain again and again and again. We have a problem with the stealing of intellectual property, and with the overdoing of lightboxing to an extend where the artist no longer does what he gets paid for, and where it makes the art look badly composed and stiff.
