The group plays a central role in the organisation of the main UK national electrochemistry conference every year, the Electrochem Conference Series, which, since the first Electrochem '94 conference in Edinburgh, has established itself as a central forum for discussion and debate. The Electrochemistry Group has been actively involved in the organisation of a number of Faraday discussions. The Electrochemistry Group also financially supports regional electrochemistry meetings. The idea of such meetings is to allow graduates to give lectures on their PhD work whilst incurring no more costs than travel to and from a local venue.
