CHRISTOPH WILLIBALD GLUCK
Biografie/Biography:
Christoph Willibald Knight of Gluck (July 2, 1714 - November 15, 1787) was a German composer, one of the most important opera composers of the Classical music era, particularly remembered for Orfeo ed Euridice. He is also remembered as the music teacher of Marie-Antoinette who as Queen of France promoted Gluck and was his patron. Some regard him as the father of the Rococo and Classical age of music-at least in Opera. Gluck's operatic reforms, eliminating all that was undramatic, were a turning point in the history of the medium.

Skladatel: Christoph W. Gluck
Libreto: Ranier Di Calzabigi
Premiera: 15. 10. 1762
1. dějstv: Za jasn© noci Orfeus teskn u mohyly Euridiky. Odesl¡ i svou družinu, aby se v samotě oddal sv©mu nesmrn©mu žalu nad ztr¡tou milovan© ženy, a pak pozved¡ svůj hlas k obžalobě bohů z krutosti. Žal jej dovede až ke vzpouře proti nim. Ž¡d¡, aby mu ženu vr¡tili, chce se odv¡Å¾it do kraje stnů, aby svou ženu Euridiku vyrval bohům podsvět třeba n¡silm.
V Erotově chr¡mě pěje sbor dkůvzd¡n l¡sce, kter¡ přemohla i smrt.

Gluck, Christoph Willibald
«Mir scheint, daß Ludwig XVI. und Gluck ein neues Zeitalter heraufführen werden.» Rousseau, der das schrieb, traf sich zumindest in der historischen Bewertung Glucks mit einem Großteil der allgemeinen Einschätzung: zudem wußte er sich einig mit den meisten, sowohl Fachleuten wie «Dilettanten», die über Musik dachten und schrieben. Über Gluck zu schreiben heißt - das Rousseau-Urteil steht dafür - immer auch: die Gluck-Rezeption zu notieren, die Wirkung des Mannes aufzuzeichnen, dessen erste Schaffenszeit im Unklaren liegt, der oft genug scheinbar aus dem Nichts kam, immer wieder neu anfing. Erst allmählich schälte sich das heraus, was wir eine Biographie nennen. Zuvor gab es Spuren, die Gluck hinterlassen hatte, mit der Zeit wachsende Erfolge, vom Herumziehenden über Europa verstreut. übersicht var et_easy = 0; var et_ssl = 0; var et_pagename = "mono_buch_Musik_978-3-499-50412-9"; var et_areas = "/buch/Musik/978-3-499-50412-9"; var et_ilevel = 0; var et_url = "";
