    Thanks for responding.
    Well, I solved the problem for my situation with no need to other script.
    Here is what I did, and it really works just fine.
    1. I created a share in smb.conf as below:
    #A share shared by faculty and students
    comment = Computer Courses
    path = /home/shares/computer_science
    public = no
    writable = yes write list = @computer_science read only = no create mask = 0660 directory mask = 0770 force group = faculty the group "computer_science" consists of the professor of the course and the students enrolled in

    The proposed research builds on three ongoing projects of the digital library research group at ODU. The NCSTRL+ project and the Interoperability project provide the core technologies for UDLF and the TechEd project will provide content. The TechEd initiative, funded by the State of Virginia, will offer an entire undergraduate program using technology-based distance learning methods to realize an active-learning paradigm. NASA is funding the development of NCSTRL+, which will provide the ability to classify material and associate appropriate terms and conditions (e.g., who can access what) with parts of the material. The Interoperability project strives to integrate existing digital libraries by developing XML specifications of the external behavior of existing libraries and an engine that can use these specifications to provide a transparent interface to the user, giving the user access to all included libraries. This bucket is a collection of reports, software, notes and data resulting from the NSF Award 9816026 Planning Grant for the Use of Digital Libraries in Undergraduate Learning in Science, which runs the duration of 10/1/1998 to 9/30/1999. The contents of this bucket will undergo periodic revision. edit Technology Certifications
    Technology certifications enable individual professionals to demonstrate a certain competency or level of knowledge. They are useful in employment or evaluation situations where ascertaining technical skills is necessary but sometimes complex and time consuming. Technology certifications are offered by numerous professional and industry organizations (i.e. The International Organization for Standardization), as well as by commercial enterprises. Commercial technology certifications are generally offered by companies on their own products (i.e. the Oracle Certification Program). In all cases, the business goal of the certifying entity is to drive the acceptance of their technology among industry practitioners and to provide a revenue stream. Most technology certifications require the applicant to submit to a written examination. These are usually administered by companies which specialize in proctoring examinations, not by the companies themselves. Sometimes a practical demonstration of a skill is required, and such examinations are generally considered by industry professionals to be the most difficult. Technology certifications are generally valued by individuals and employers, especially for extremely technical topics. Sometimes a particular certification can increase a professional’s marketability and earning potential. However, some certifications might be more valuable than others to certain entities or in different geographical locations. Before pursuing a technical certification, the professional should thoroughly evaluate whether the effort and expense of obtaining it will be worth it.

    Intro to Unix
    Introduction:
    Before we get into programming proper, we need a few fundamental survival skills which we will use to control our environment. You will need to be able find your way around the UNIX Operating System Now let's begin!
    Description:
    We will begin class today with a discussion of the terminal and file systems . We will talk about what a file system is and look briefly at the Unix file system. After that, we will hava a web activity exploring basic unix commands we will need to manage our computing environment in Computer Science.
    Activities
  • Open a new terminal by going to Applications->Accessories->Terminal OR by hitting Ctrl-Alt-F1
    Using the web resources listed at the bottom of this page (and any other resources you would like to use), write out a description and an example for each of the Unix commands in the list that follows:
    • ls pwd cd mkdir rmdir cp mv rm rm -rf man cat

    In your home directory /home/username ), create a directory named , then change to this directory ( pwd should return /home/ when you are finished). Create the following
