I thought it would be a simple task to make any http request without the 'www.' be redirected .. so far this IS working on my test domain. I've added the following to; /etc/httpd/conf/virtual/site# RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^/(.*) http://www.domain_name.com/ $1 [R,L] I'm about to use this on all virtual domains (30 so far), but thought I ought to get a second opinoin before using it on a production domain. Also, I gather these files are sometimes overwritten, how can I ensure my changes stick? We're running ensim WEBppliance Pro 3.5.20-26 on a dedicated linux box, if it makes a difference. When using Maildir each email is stored in it's own file. Before being read, those emails are located in the: directory. After they're read, they're either kept in: /imap/%DOMAIN_NAME%/%USERNAME%/Maildir/cur (if the user read them with IMAP, or the user's setting is to leave mail on the server) or deleted. So if you delete the contents of that directory you'll be deleting all the email in that user's inbox that's already been read. If you want to do that you should probably then delete these files: /imap/%DOMAIN_NAME%/%USERNAME%/Maildir/dovecot* so the next time the user logs in the indexes will be rebuilt properly.
