Encyclopedia Article Find Print E-mail Blog It Multimedia 1 item Victor Grignard (1871-1935), French chemist and Nobel laureate, born in Cherbourg, and educated at the University of Lyon. He taught organic chemistry at Lyon from 1906 to 1909 and then at the University of Nancy, where he was a full professor from 1910. In his doctoral thesis of 1900, he made known his discovery of organomagnesium compounds, the so-called Grignard reagents, which are of great value in synthesizing complex organic compounds. Articolo Trova nell'articolo Anteprima di stampa Invia Multimedia 1 elemento Grignard, Victor (Cherbourg 1871 - Lione 1935), chimico francese. Conclusi gli studi presso l’Universit  di Lione, insegn² chimica organica nella stessa citt , e nel 1910 ottenne la cattedra di chimica all’Universit  di Nancy. Con la sua tesi di laurea, ultimata nel 1900, rese pubblica la scoperta dei composti organometallici del magnesio , i cosiddetti “reattivi di Grignard”, estremamente utili nelle sintesi organiche. Per questo risultato, nel 1912 condivise il premio Nobel per la chimica con il francese Paul Sabatier Trova nell'articolo Anteprima di stampa Invia Come citare l'articolo:
