NEW FACULTY January, 2008 - Professor Charles L. Brooks returns to his Michigan roots as the Warner-Lambert/Parke-Davis Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Biophysics. July, 2008 - Assistant Professors Bart M. Bartlett and Stephen Maldonado will be coming to Michigan. RECENT AWARDS Brian Coppola has been selected as the recipient of an 2008 LSA Excellence in Education Award for his special contributions to the College's educational mission. Kevin Kubarych has received a NSF Career Award (2008). Mike Morris has been awarded the 2008 Rackham Distinguished Graduate Mentoring Award. Nicolai Lehnert is a recipient of a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Invitation Fellowship to visit Japan for one month in summer of 2008. This fellowship sponsors a visit to Japan for an extended period of time to do research. It is aimed at promoting international scientific cooperation and exchange. Anna Mapp is the 2007 recipient of the Novartis Young Investigator Award in Chemistry.
