Come experience the best fishing the Finger Lakes have to offer! Now s the time to start thinking about spring/summer fishing!
http://www.fingerlakesanglingzone.com/
Come experience the best fishing the Finger Lakes have to offer!
Fishing is good to excellent on Cayuga and Seneca Lakes for landlocked Atlantic salmon and brown trout. Cayuga's salmon are averaging 18" to 22". Skaneateles Lake will also produce fish.
Casting and fly-casting for landlocked Atlantic salmon is a challenge, like steelhead fishing. Not only are the fish sleek and beautiful, but they hit HARD and are tremendous fighters - especially once water temperatures climb into the 40s. These fish are found in limited numbers throughout the New England region and New York. The Finger Lakes offer some of the best salmon fishing around! Conditions need to be just right to have success while casting. Call for details....
Want to learn how to fly-fish? How about fly-casting and tying flies? My friend Shahab Farzanegan is offering a day long class on Saturday April 12th. He's an experienced and entertaining instructor and you'll get a grip on the fundamentals of the sport. All equipment and materials will be provided. He'll be teaching at Glenora NY, just about 10 miles N. of Watkins Glen on Seneca Lake's west side. He can be contacted at (603) 986-0621 or via email at salarfisha@yahoo.com

    Angling
fish are complex and intelligent individuals . In fact, if anglers treated cats, dogs, cows, or pigs the way they treat fish, they would be thrown in prison on charges of cruelty to animals. Even when anglers put fish back in the water after torturing them, many of the fish die from their stress and injuries. A 2006 study conducted during and after a Wisconsin fishing tournament found that hundreds of fish who were caught and released had died within a few days.
