Jillian won the very first bike race she entered at the ripe old age of six. She has always been very competitive and has many awards for running as well as cycling; finishing as high as fourth at Junior Nationals. Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) has announced the release of the 2008 Congressional Pig Book. CAGW has been releasing the Pig Book as an expose of the wasteful pork-barrel spending by our leaders in Washington DC for 18 years now I scrolled thru the PDF version looking for anything Cycling related so you, dear reader, don't have to. ;-D Please, Please, there's no need to thank me, honest! ;-D 1. A Project by Senator Christopher “Kit” Bond (R-Mo.): $551,250 for the Heart of America Bicycle/Pedestrian Bridge. Based on the pictures, and descriptions, here , this seems actually to be money that will be well spent since according to the website, as of 2005 "The Heart of America Bridge can accommodate experienced on-road bicyclists reasonably well in the northbound direction, but not in the southbound direction. 50. Beginner FAQ: The Nitrogen Cycle
Thus, cycling the tank refers to the process of establishing bacterial colonies in the filter bed that convert ammonia nitrite - nitrate.
http://fins.actwin.com/mirror/begin-cycling.html
Beginner FAQ: The Nitrogen Cycle, and ``New Tank Syndrome''
What Is the Nitrogen Cycle?
Like all living creatures, fish give off waste products (pee and poo). These nitrogenous waste products break down into ammonia (NH ), which is highly toxic to most fishes. In nature, the volume of water per fish is extremely high, and waste products become diluted to low concentrations. In aquariums, however, it can take as little as a few hours for ammonia concentrations to reach toxic levels. How much ammonia is too much? The quick answer is: if a test kit is able to measure it, you've got too much (i.e., it's in a high enough concentrations to stress fish). Consider emergency action (water changes and zeolite clay) to reduce the danger. (A more detailed discussion of ammonia toxicity can be found later in this section.) In aquaria-speak, the ``nitrogen cycle'' (more precisely, the nitrification cycle) is the biological process that converts ammonia into other, relatively harmless nitrogen compounds. Fortunately, several species of bacteria do this conversion for us. Some species convert ammonia (NH The desired species of nitrifying bacteria are present everywhere (e.g., in the air). Therefore, once you have an ammonia source in your tank, it's only a matter of time before the desired bacteria establish a colony in your filter bed. The most common way to do this is to place one or two (emphasis on

Steel City Showdown Success! - Wednesday, March 26th, 2008 Tartan Cycling hosted the first ever collegiate race weekend in Pittsburgh on March 22-23, 2008. The weekend, presented by The Weinberg Group , featured an epic road race in Murrysville, PA and a can't-believe-that-just-happened criterium over the 6th and 7th street bridges in downtown Pittsburgh. About 200 collegiate racers attended alongside 75 local USCF racers. We received nothing but praise for the top quality race. The only question people had as they left was, "When are you doing this again?" http://www.steelcityshowdown.com The Steel City Showdown Team -Ben Racing in Philly! - Monday, March 10th, 2008 Tartan cycling represented in Philly this past weekend. After being forced to turn around by a winter storm last weekend, we finally made it to a race. The weather wasn't much better this time though, with the Saturday road race getting rained out and converted to a very soggy downtown crit. Sunday saw some sun, but also some 30mph wind which made the TTT and circuit race a bit more challenging. Nonetheless, the C men (Jeff, Ben, Dan, Josh) fought their way to some strong pack finishes. -Ben New Kits! -

th People like value and that's what I offer. Rather than trying to make things complicated I try to make them simple. Look at most other high end brands and the reverse is true. That reduces my costs and allows me to offer a better value. Twenty years ago most of the high end products were not made in Asia. Frames, handlebars, stems, and the bulk of what premier brands offer is made in Taiwan. The reason is that the quality is very high and the costs are very reasonable. I do my best to search for the best makers and sell direct to you, the consumer.
