(Redirected from International Rules The logo of the International Rules Series International Rules Football is a hybrid sport developed in the as a mixture of Australian rules football and Gaelic football . It was created in order to facilitate international matches between the representative teams of the Australian Football League and the Gaelic Athletic Association , which have been played annually since but date back to The rules are designed to provide a compromise between those of the two codes, with the Irish being advantaged by the use of a round ball and a rectangular field (Australian rules uses an oval ball and field), while the Australians benefit from the opportunity to tackle between the shoulders and thighs, something banned in Gaelic football. It's pretty clear that the quality sports exist outside outside North America so is it any surprise that the UFC is second rate when it comes to fighters and MMA rules? It certainly follows the trend. Also, is it any surprise that the UFC is defended vigorously by singleminded americans who blank outside sports in favour of their own sports that the majority of the world doesn't take seriously, even mocks?
Now don't get me wrong, i enjoy the UFC and watch every event but i do have a problem with those who support it to the death, regardless of facts, even wishing another top organisation to fail so as to benefit the UFC. It's this kind of support that sickens me.
OK, i needed to get that of my chest. I'm fully prepared for the abuse that no doubt is coming my way :icon_neut ForeverIsMyName 02-03-2007, 11:33 AM
