If you want to see what it was like back then, downshift and enjoy. Anyone can help out, either in terms of identifying pictures, adding pictures or other source material. If you can identify a car or event, (and you'll find a number of unidentified pictures) fill out the contact us form and let us know so we can update the information. If you have pictures, routebooks or something else you think others would like, let us know, and we'll figure out how to add it to the site as well. COLUMBUS, Ohio (CNN) Hillary Clinton told a gaggle of reporters on board her airplane during a flight from Cleveland to Columbus that at this late stage of the primary race, "people are really rallying to my candidacy." Clinton said she was "really pleased" with her debate performance in Cleveland, arguing that she was able to  present "some real contrasts" against Barack Obama, especially on the issues of health care and the economy. "What I feel is happening is that people are turning towards the big questions that we should have to answer in this campaign," she said. "Give me the best Commander in Chief. Who do you want in the White House answering the phone at three a.m.? Who is the best steward of the economy?" Clinton said that along with getting a second look from voters, her campaign continues to raise $1 million a day over the internet, a factoid she has been touting since Super Tuesday.

Conservatives Rallying – At Least Against The Times
Posted by Vaughn Ververs
Mitt Romney used the New York Times' endorsement of John McCain last month as proof that the Arizona Senator was not a true conservative. Now that the paper has published it's controversial story about his alleged relationship with a Washington lobbyist, it may be the push conservatives need to convince them he is. Or at the very least, begin the healing.
In his opening comments on his nationally syndicated radio show today Rush Limbaugh, a fierce McCain critic throughout the primaries, claimed vindication. Limbaugh noted he had long predicted that the media, who McCain has had an exceptionally close relationship to, would "turn" on him if he won the nomination. Limbaugh did not embrace McCain but offered that the episode offers an educational opportunity for the senator.
"They are what they are," Limbaugh said of the paper. "A snake is a snake, a tiger is a tiger, the New York Times is the New York Times … the important question for John McCain today is, is he going to learn the right lesson from this? And what is the lesson? The lesson is, liberals are to be defeated. You cannot walk across the aisle with them, you cannot reach across the aisle, you cannot welcome their media members on your bus and get all cozy with them and expect eternal love from them. You are a Republican. Whether you are a conservative Republican or not, you are a Republican. And at some point, the people you cozy up to … are going to turn on you. … And if the right lesson is not learned from this, it will have proved to be of no value."

(April 1919)
Transcribed for the Trotsky Internet Archive , now a sub-section of the , by Patrick Beherec in October 1997.
Transcribed from (Grolier 1965), Houston Peterson, editor.
Originally given in April 1919. Wilson has definitely changed front and evidently has forces France to give up all hope of an armed crusade against Soviet Russia. War with Soviet Russia, which was demanded by the senseless French General, Foch, would take ten years in the opinion of the American statesman. Less than six months have passed since the decisive victory of the Allies over the central empires; six months ago it seemed that the power of the Anglo-French and American imperialism was without limits. At that time all the Russian counterrevolutionists had no doubt that the days of the Soviet Republic were numbered; but events now move steadfastly along the Soviet road. The working masses of the whole world are joining the flag of the Soviet authority, and the world robbers of imperialism are being betrayed even by the Crimean donkeys. At the present moment one awaits from day to day the victory of the Soviet Republic in Austria and in Germany. It is not impossible that the proletariat of Italy, Poland, or France will violate the logical order and outstrip the working class in other countries. These spring months become the decisive months in the history of Europe. At the same time this spring will decide definitely the fate of the bourgeois and rich peasant, anti-Soviet Russia.

Chapter 1 Strategic Assessment
Introduction
This chapter highlights terrorism trends and ongoing issues, focusing on calendar year 2006 that will provide a framework for detailed discussion in later chapters. Since this issue of the Country Reports on Terrorism falls 5 years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, the chapter commences with a review of progress against the terrorist threat to date. Five Years On, Progress is Mixed Significant Achievements
Five years after 9/11, the international community's conflict with transnational terrorists continues. Cooperative international efforts have produced genuine security improvements - particularly in securing borders and transportation, enhancing document security, disrupting terrorist financing, and restricting the movement of terrorists. The international community has also achieved significant success in dismantling terrorist organizations and disrupting their leadership. This has contributed to reduced terrorist operational capabilities and the detention or death of numerous key terrorist leaders. Working with allies and partners across the world, through coordination and information sharing, we have created a less permissive operating environment for terrorists, keeping leaders on the move or in hiding, and degrading their ability to plan and mount attacks. Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and many other partners played major roles in this success, recognizing that international terrorism represents a threat to the whole international community.

WASHINGTON The desolate and cratered shores of nearby Luna beckon, not only as landscape ripe for science and exploration but prime "unreal estate" for hotels, business parks and mining camps. But at NASA, the call seemingly falls into a vacuum of response. After spending $25 billion to hurl people and payloads across the vast, intervening void, America's costly bridge to the Moon is a busted relic from a Space Age past. But for a generation of post-Apollo return-to-the-moon revivalist, one question remains: "If we can put a man on the Moon, then why can't we put a man on the Moon?" For the most part, NASA has left the answer to that question in the dust. Even the prospects for privately financed hops to the Moon are falling short of their mark. Rallying cries
Candidates on both sides have yet to define their campaigns. Any ideas? By STEVEN STARK September 19, 2007 2:44:30 PM Though the press focuses on organization, tactics, and fundraising, campaigns are won by unifying ideas. And, because no candidate in either party has yet to articulate the kind of broad theme that can galvanize an electorate, this year’s race remains undefined. Having “ideas” does not mean outlining a detailed set of policy prescriptions. It means presenting an expansive and memorable argument that resonates with voters. In 1960, John F. Kennedy proposed to “get the country moving again,” and in the 1980s Ronald Reagan announced it was “morning in America.” In each case, voters knew exactly what was meant, just as they understood, in 1976, that when outsider Jimmy Carter promised “I’ll never lie to you,” he was offering a complete break from the disillusioning era of Vietnam and Watergate. Even George Bush’s 1988 tag line, “Read my lips — no new taxes,” was shorthand for the more prosaic “Stay the course.”

Home Tuesday, February 05, 2008 Rallying To Romney Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 12:31 AM A large, enthusiastic crowd gathered on extremely short notice for a last minute Long Beach, California stop for Romney tonight. I talked to the get-out-the-vote staffer who was heading back to Sacramento and the headquarters even as Romney took off for West Virginia and that state's Super Tuesday convention. The Romney team is wired, the sort of energy that cannot be faked but only flows from conviction that the political wind is at your back. Similar reports are arriving from Colorado and Georgia.
Romney clearly has momentum in California, and a win here will send the campaign into a month of head-to-head contests culminating in Ohio and Texas in early March. Expect Romney to challenge McCain to a series of one-on-one debates that McCain really cannot accept, underscoring the weakness of the McCain campaign if it has to match up against Obama. Not only would McCain be overwhelmed by the volcano of money exploding for Obama, he can't match the Illinois senator on the small screen. The recognition of the mismatch looming is adding fuel to the Romney rally.
Romney by contrast has enormous energy and an appeal built on the future, not the past. He can easily raise the money necessary to contest the next eight months until public financing takes over on 9/1, and he would easily best Obama in one-on-ones on television.

Rallying to the Agile Cause
When it comes to the quasi-religious subject of development methods, I try to avoid sectarian violence. I like to think of programming languages, for example, in the same way that I think of wrenches: the all-purpose variety tend to do a wide range of jobs with only mediocre success but when languages evolve under different pressures, they develop complementary strengths that we all later profit from recombining into more advanced hybrid tools At least as contentious is the topic of development method families, which I try to avoid calling "methodologies"because "methodology" is, of course, the study of methods. "Paradigm" had potential as a better term, but it's long since been wordjacked and left as a vandalized wreck by the side of the road. I favor environments and repositories that serve as method-neutral settings for capturing and representing developers' goals and products, with Telelogic's System Architect being a long-standing favorite.
