Meet "Yorick", the Bionic Skeleton
Yorick is a "bionic" skeleton. Bionic means electronic devices and mechanical parts (called medical devices or implants) are used in place of real body parts that are damaged or that no longer work. These devices can actually help people perform normal, everyday tasks.
Where is Yorick?
Yorick was created as a teaching aid to demonstrate how these medical devices work. He used to travel frequently and appear at schools, professional meetings, university lectures, training courses and health fairs to educate kids and adults. In November 2003, Yorick 'retired' from FDA. He became part of a museum display called 'Inventing Ourselves.' The display is in the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.
What are medical devices?
People use medical devices when they have lost the use of a real body part, because of injury in an accident or damage from a disease. For example, a person who loses an arm in an accident might get a replacement arm that will still allow him to eat, lift things, throw a ball, or tie his shoes. And there are even people who need a whole new replacement body part, such as an artificial heart, in order to live.

The second string is the prompt string, displayed when prompting the user for a value for the str symbol. The str symbol will be replaced with the answer to the prompt. The construct means that if str Very simple, right?

Hidden History March 12, 2008 Archaeologists have unearthed the skull of a young woman in northern Greece who is believed to have undergone head surgery in the third century, Greek news media reported Wednesday. A Greek team discovered the skeleton at an ancient cemetery in Veria, with the skull including an injury that led them to conclude the surgery had been performed. "We think that there was a complex surgical intervention that only an experienced doctor could have performed," said Ioannis Graikos, the head of the archaeological dig. "Medical treatment on the human body in the Roman Veria is part of a long tradition that began with Hippocrates up to Roman doctor Celsus and Galen," he said, cited in the Ta Nea newspaper.

Information
Based on the previous menu but a change of style so that it 'works' well over darker backgrounds. The widths of the dropdown and the flyout sub menus are not fixed and will be as wide as is necessary to hold the text on one line. The position of the flyouts is then placed at a 'percentage' position from the previous level to give a fixed overlap. Well in all browsers except IE5.x and IE6 it works like this. These two browsers are the ones that have caused all the problems in getting this menu to work and I have had to settle for a comprimise solution. For IE5.x and IE6 the positions of the flyouts will be variable depending on the width of the previous link. In practice this works quite well and does not look odd.

    Skeleton outlines
CCK Content Paging Utility ... agentrickard - June 17, 2007 - 16:05 The Skeleton module works with the core Book module to create pre-configured outlines that can
be reused. Those outlines can include any node type, including those defined by CCK. After creating a skeleton and assigning templates to it, users with the proper permission
will be able to create new books that clone the outline and content of the skeleton. The original use-case of this module is for publishing on an intranet site, where it is important to create
the same information structure repeatedly. The skeleton module is designed to make this repetitive task
easy to perform especially for non-technical site administrators. The Skeleton module integrates with Node Access module to allow preset access rules to new book pages. I am looking for a co-maintainer Note: The Node Template module does much of what Skeleton does . The two modules differ in the interface and data management. December 14, 2007— Since 2004 this doctored image has helped give legs to tall tales of ancient giant humans. ( Read full story.
At least one version of the story—published in the March 2007 issue of India's Hindu Voice monthly and cited in countless blog entries and emails this year—claims that a National Geographic Society team helped make the "discovery" in India. (The National Geographic Society owns National Geographic News
The picture, however, is an innocent fake.
The image was lifted from Worth1000, a Web site that hosts contests for digital artists. Created by an artist using the alias IronKite, the picture placed third in a 2002 competition titled "Archaeological Anomalies 2," which asked contestants to “create a hoax archaeological discovery.”
“Man, this guy gets around!” said IronKite—who does not want his real name used in this story—after hearing his work had been used to back up the latest false reports.

John Farr's Skeleton Bike All photos © 2005 Stephen H. Moore John Farr drove over to Marietta, Georgia from his shop in Opelika, Alabama so that I could photograph his titanium skeleton bike for Hot Bike magazine. The skeleton, which creates the frame of this ground-up custom bike, was investment cast of Grade 2 Titanium and, trust me, everyone who saw it loved it. Middle-aged domestic engineers would spot us coming down the street out of the windows of shops they were in and would chase us down to get a better look at it, hollering "STOP! I WANT TO SEE IT!" Men, women and children asked to pose with it for pictures and everyone wanted to know where the gas tank is. Some of these pictures were featured in the June 2006 issue of Hot Bike Magazine www.shmoore.com
