1. Skipping Exercises, And How To Skip
skipping is an excellent form of exercise, free advice on how to skip correctly and skipping training program from netfit.
http://www.netfit.co.uk/hrl6.htm
SKIPPING
This is an excellent form of exercise that requires minimal equipment, i.e. a skipping rope.
To help prevent injury, you should aim to skip in trainers, ideally on a sprung studio floor.
Skipping to music, combining different foot combination and also adding circuit exercises will prevent you becoming bored.
When skipping aim to keep your elbows tucked into your sides, with the rope turning around smoothly in your wrists. A common mistake is to lean forward, or skip too slowly. Both of these result in the rope being court by your feet.
Keep your back straight, and for beginners jump two footed only a few inches from the floor.
Alternating feet when jumping is easy to learn, aim to jump a few times on one foot, then try the other foot. Soon you will be able to go from one to the other without catching the rope. Whilst skipping, the rope should ideally be tight, and if jumping at speed, aim to have small jumps, with the rope close to your head. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation search An 1800 depiction of jumping rope A jump rope skipping rope or skip rope is the primary tool used in the game of skipping played by children and many young adults , where one or more participants jump over a spinning rope so that it passes under their feet and over their heads. This may consist of one participant turning and jumping the rope, or a minimum of three participants taking turns, two of which turn the rope while one or more jumps. Sometimes the latter is played with two turning ropes; this form of the activity is called Double Dutch and is significantly more difficult. Children often chant jump-rope rhymes while jumping rope. These can range from pure nonsense to comments on current events. Participants may simply jump until they tire or make a mistake, they may improvise tricks, or they may have to carry out a predetermined set of tricks . People also practice solo jump-roping for exercise. There are hundreds of different tricks/techniques of skipping rope. Most modern-day jump ropes are made of cloth, plastic, beaded string, or plastic-coated wire/cables. Cloth and beaded ropes hold their shape better, while plastic and coated-cable ropes are designed for speed. The optimum length for a jump rope is with the handles reaching up to the armpits while standing on the center of the rope.

Day 11: Skipping over navigation links
If you didn't manage to hack your templates to present your main content first , here's a compromise: provide an link to skip over your navigation links. It's not a perfect solution (presenting your main content first is better), but it's an accepted compromise that many sites use. This "skip link" is just a regular tag, like any other link, but we'll use CSS
Who benefits?
  • Marcus benefits. When he visits your page, Lynx will display the link and allow him to skip over your navigation bar and go straight to your main content. See Day 10: Presenting your main content first for an example of why this is so important. Jackie benefits. When she visits your page, JAWS will read the skip link and allow her to skip over your navigation bar and go straight to your main content.
  • How to do it
First, use Lynx Viewer on your own home page to determine whether your navigation bar is presented before your main content. If your main content comes first, this tip does not apply to you; enjoy your day off. Now define a CSS section at the top of your template, add this rule immediately after the

WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT'S BEEN
Thanks to a last-minute surge of sales, we were able to renew our domain name for another year and now this site will be up until at least March 20, 2008. What this means is that the CD sales part of our business will remain (so we can unload our inventory) but we are no longer planning on releasing any new material in the foreseeable future.
Our CDs are still available at going-out-of-business rock-bottom prices. Get 'em while they last or you may soon have to look for them on eBay and pay huge, inflated prices since they are destined to become collector's items.
We want to thank all of the bands and artists who have graciously appeared on our releases in exchange for pitifully small royalty payments (Don't worry. If I owe you any, you'll get them sometime soon I hope.), all of the other bands and artists who submitted tracks for our now never-to-be-released compilations, all of the retail outlets and distributors who agreed to carry our CDs on consignment, and especially all of the music lovers from around the world who recognized something special (or a least a little different) in what our micro-label was trying to accomplish and purchased our CDs.

    The Skipping Stones
    welcome to the skipping stones
Since our debut issue, The Skipping Stones have continued an unabated schedule of online collaboration, all the more noteworthy considering the formidable life interruptions brought on by an international move (Scott), the arrival of a new baby (Rob), getting married (Chad) and journal publishing deadlines (Jason - Roadrunner) This demonstrates one or a number of things...our devotion to the haiku experience, the compelling power of the internet as a communication tool, or that everyone has been neglecting their families! We had a wonderful response to our first issue and thank everyone who sent us words of praise and encouragement. We also appreciate the helpful notes readers made on errors and corrections. The little controversy over one of Scott's haiku (now removed and replaced) was especially entertaining. With this second issue we welcome readers to send us comments, reactions, corrections or whatever else one might dream up. We look forward to hearing what you think. As with the first issue, we are fortunate to be able to feature the work of another well known and highly regarded guest editor

I am 29 years old, haven't had a period in a year, before that time had irregular periods. I did get pregnant almost three years ago although my periods were irregular. I was sent to an endocrinologist, who prescribed Provera, well, it didn't help me, still no periods! What could be my problem, help me!
Lack of menses is usually due to anovulation. Assuming pregnancy isn't the cause of the anovulation, the two most common causes are polycystic ovarian disease and conditions that produce "hypothalamic amenorrhea". There are also other things like premature ovarian failure, thyroid disease etc. a list is available at: skipping periods The fact that you did not have a withdrawal bleed from Provera makes the category of hypothalamic amenorrhea more likely. Often this turns out to be stress or medication induced. Might any of these apply?

SKIPPING COMMERCIALS IS STEALING ACCORDING TO TURNER CEO
Posted 1 May 2002 11:05:57 UTC It was inevitable. The broadcast industry is now describing people who skip over commercials as thieves! And with new technology like HDTV and insane laws such as the DMCA, they may very well make it stick in the future. Jamie Kellner is the chairman and CEO of Turner Broadcasting, which encompasses everything from CNN to TNT and is a part of AOL Time Warner. On Monday, an interview with Kellner appeared in CableWorld. In response to a question on why personal video recorders (PVR's) were bad for the industry, Kellner responded: "Because of the ad skips.... It's theft. Your contract with the network when you get the show is you're going to watch the spots. Otherwise you couldn't get the show on an ad-supported basis. Any time you skip a commercial or watch the button you're actually stealing the programming." While most programming on American TV is so insultingly bad that nobody would ever need to steal it in the first place, there is great danger in permitting this line of reasoning to become accepted. If this is seen as a "problem," expect legislation forbidding any device that allows consumers to skip the sacred commercial. Kellner, however, is not completely unreasonable. When asked if he considers people who go to the bathroom during a commercial to be thieves, he responded: "I guess there's a certain amount of tolerance for going to the bathroom. But if you formalize it and you create a device that skips certain second increments, you've got that only for one reason, unless you go to the bathroom for 30 seconds. They've done that just to make it easy for someone to skip a commercial." Heaven forbid.
