Home About Socci Media Soccer ... Home Update : April 03, 2008 Visit the Socci Store! What is Socci... Socci is an individual fitness activity, social game, and a competitive sport which takes soccer skills to a new level. Combining elements of soccer, basketball, and hackysack, the ball is played in the air, from the first bounce, and by non-consecutive ground passes. If the ball stops it is dead. Socci is non-contact. Defense may take the ball away from offense when no contact occurs on the play. This creates a balance of power between offense and defense. Contact fouls result in the player who fouled leaving the field for the duration of the next live ball (POWER PLAY). Socci is the only sport in the world with a three-dimensional goal. The goals on the field represent a central-opposing power-scheme allowing scoring from all sides including the basket. This increases scoring, decreases crowding, and creates a unique strategy which promotes teamwork. New Compact Socci Goal Socci is proud to introduce the first ever Compact Socci Goal. It can be assembled in under a minute and it's small enough to fit in the trunk of your car. The Compact Set includes: 3 Socci Balls, 2 Compact Socci Goals, Instructional DVD, Field Drawing Kit, Socci Rule Book, Socci Lessons and Literature. Please

Saxophonist
This website began many, many years ago among one of the first saxophone oriented sites on the Net. I studied saxophone with the legendary Jackie McLean from the age of 16 through graduation from the Hartt School of Music in 1988. I produced two compact discs as a leader, taught, and played the saxophone professionally through the late 1990's when I decided I needed a change. On this site I present answers to some commonly asked questions about the instrument in addition to samples of my own music and links to other sites.
Technologist
In 1997 I returned to school along with another musician friend to study computers and electronics. I had always been into technology, starting with CB radio as a child and progressing into Amateur Radio in my teens. I used to hang around Radio Shack and play with the TRS-80 back in the day. My interests continued through DOS and IBM PS2 Model 25, which was the only PS2 not based on the microchannel or MCA slot in favor of the more common ISA. It ran a blazing 8 MHz Intel 8086 and 512 KB of RAM. My first hard drive was a 40 MB Seagate 3.5 inch that cost nearly $500. Prior to that I ran everything from 3.5 inch floppy disks. My interest and my decision to return to school have resulted in current career in technology. I'm a system administrator and network manager. I have begun a tech flavored personal blog at www.charlessocci.com

A glimpse at the life of the saint. Taken from the No. 5, 1995, issue of 30 Days .
http://www.ewtn.com/library/MARY/NERI.htm
SAINT PHILIP NERI Antonio Socci It was the year 1532. A 17-year-old Florentine strode boldly down the Via Cassia which crossed Tuscany and led first to Rome, then on down to San Germano, the present Cassino. Probably for the whole journey he had before his blue eyes the vision of what he had left the beloved faces, the hills of Fiesole and San Miniato, covered in cypresses and olives in sight of the River Arno. But the question of his future was also much on Philip's mind—for that was the young man's name. A lad as clever as Philip could hope, like his contemporaries, for success as an artist by apprenticing himself to one of the many Tuscan masters of the time, painters such as Michelangelo or Leonardo. Or he might cultivate his passion for music, or his intellectual curiosity and become a thinker like Pico della Mirandola. Or yet again, in that city torn apart by clashes between the followers of Savonarola and the Medici, he might throw himself into politics as many were doing, and strive for power. Many young Florentines were venturing into trade. Merchants and bankers were setting themselves up everywhere. Even Philip was on the way to his uncle Romolo who had set up his business in San Germano and was in need of help. Philip too had smelt the breath of new life which was blowing in Florence at that time.

on the Third Secret
Special to the Fatima Center The Last Seer of Fatima, Il Quarto Segreto di Fatima (published in November 2006), in which Socci, an acclaimed author, presents hard evidence there exists a second text of the Third Secret of Fatima yet unpublished. Libero But Bertone, says Socci, ignores the evidence put forth in The Fourth Secret of Fatima, Socci points out that Cardinal Bertone was sent to speak to Sister Lucy three times: in 2000 before the publication of the Secret; in November 2001; and again in December 2003. The Da Vinci Code Bertone claims that after Sister Lucy saw the 2000 document, she said, “this is the Third Secret"; the “only text”; and “I never wrote anything else.” But if Sister Lucy really said these things, notes Socci, then why was this all-important testimony never reported in the official Vatican commentary? In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved, etc.

Some Observations on the Regional Workshop Process: Where Do We Go From Here? Anthony Socci Introduction In the period May-July 1997, four regional workshops were held. These were pioneering efforts to bring global change scientists and regional stakeholders together to communicate what was known and not known with respect to climate change, to identify key regional issues, and to discuss how to improve understanding of how best to cope with existing and future stresses. Experience with these workshops to date suggests certain approaches for ensuring continuity and a high level of effectiveness. Regardless of the approach, effective communication appears to be an underlying, critical element that will likely govern the success of this on-going effort . Intensive efforts need to be devoted to contacting stakeholders and bringing them to the table. I. Articulating the Objectives It has seemed to prove useful to start each of the regional workshops by clearly stating the goals of the workshop and by placing the workshop activities into the broader framework of leading to a national assessment that is science based. Subsequently, the goals and objectives of the workshop, and their relation to the broader set of activities, need to be restated at key junctures within each workshop so as to keep everyone clearly focused on the goals, especially within breakout sessions. It is ideally useful to restate the goals and purpose of each workshop as the break-out groups are being charged with a task.

14. Socci - Third Secret
On November 22, 2006, Antonio socci’s Il Quarto Segreto di Fatima (The Fourth Secret of Fatima), hit bookstores in Italy.

Third Secret of Fatima Not Entirely Revealed
Secretary of Pope John XXIII Admits There Are Two Texts
by John Vennari On November 22, 2006, Antonio Socci’s Il Quarto Segreto di Fatima (The Fourth Secret of Fatima), hit bookstores in Italy. The author, after much investigation, comes to the conclusion that the Vatican has not formally released the entire Third Secret.
The importance of this book cannot be overemphasized. Mr. Socci is a famous, mainstream Italian author and TV anchor man, not associated with any “traditionalist” group. In fact, he began the project firmly believing the Vatican had released the entire Secret on June 26, 2000. Yet the more he investigated, the more he became convinced that the entire Secret was not revealed
Paolini’s Challenge Socci writes in the book’s Introduction that he was intrigued by an article published by Italian journalist Vittorio Messori at the time of Sister Lucy’s death: “The Fatima Secret, the Cell of Sister Lucy Has Been Sealed”. Here Messori spoke of the many writings and “Letters to the Popes” that Sister Lucy would have left in her cell. Messori then mentioned the Vatican’s June 26, 2000 revelation of the secret “which instead of solving the mystery, has opened other ones: regarding its interpretations, its contents, and about the completeness of the revealed text.”
This launched a burst of questions in Socci’s mind. Why would Messori, “a great journalist, extremely precise ... the most translated Catholic columnist in the world”, cast such suspicion on the Vatican? How could a person like Messori, so close to the Vatican ambient, be persuaded that the official version of the Third Secret was not convincing?

    Socci
Socci "is an individual fitness activity, social game, and a competitive sport ...combining elements of soccer, basketball, and hackysack." A sport after my own junkyard-inspired heart - creating by combining some of the must fun parts of other sports. Like soccer and hackysack, Socci is played without using hands. Like basketball, no physical
The Socci goal is perhaps the most innovative aspect of the sport. It is low, round, and free-standing - so a goal can be scored from all sides. This makes defending the goal much more challenging, and more interesting for players and audience alike. The inventor sees Socci as "the ultimate soccer training game." I see it as a new sport. Better than soccer, because it is faster paced. The goals are closer together, so players have to shift from offense to defense suddenly and often. There is more opportunity to score, and more opportunities for fun. Though I'm certain a good Socci player masters many soccer-related skills, the value of Socci is not in its soccer- or hackysack-likeness, but in the fun.
