Chapman State Park, Clarendon, PA will be the site for the Third Annual BEi Biathlon; a 500 Yard Swim and a 5 K Run Event. The winning times for the 2006 event were 31 minutes 25 seconds posted by Jessica Nuhfer of Warren for individual athletes and 27 minutes and 35 seconds posted by Dustin Nuhfer and Kelsey Nuhfer of Warren for the team competition. A 5k Fun walk has been added to the event to broaden participation and to encourage use of Chapman State Park. Walk participants will receive a commemorative ribbon. Registration will begin at 10:45 AM thru 11:15 AM with the event start at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, July 22, 2007. Athletes should pre-register by July 6, 2007 to get the BEi Biathlon T-Shirt. Race day registration will also be available. Registration information and forms can be downloaded here on our website, at the Chapman State Park office, or by calling (814)723-8431. The registration fee is $15 and participants who pre-register for the Biathlon and the 5k Fun Walk by July 6, 2007 will receive a Biathlon Tee Shirt. The BEi Biathlon is meant to be a fun event for the novice runner and swimmer as well as the serious competitor.
