She studied with Dorothy Delay and Robert Mann at the Juilliard School and with Sylvia Rosenberg at the Peabody Conservatory, where she earned both a master of music degree and an artist diploma. She earned a bachelor of music degree from Seoul National University. Lee performs on a Joseph Guarnerius violin made in 1723.
